Another “Pirates of the Caribbean" movie appears to be on the horizon, but this bounty will be a well awaited treasure, if Johnny Depp has his way.
Scriptwriter Terry Rossio, who wrote for the first four movies, has concocted the next adventure for Cap’n Jack Sparrow, which was delivered to Disney sometime last week, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Lead man Depp hasn’t gotten a chance to read the screenplay yet, but he is ready to see what happens to the free-spirited pirate.
The actor told THR, “It boils down to story, script and filmmaker.”
He also went on to say, “It's not something where I would say, ‘Let's shoot it next month to get it out by Christmas 2012.’ We should hold off for a bit. They should be special, just like they are special to me.”
In the meantime, “Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” releases on Friday, May 20 - the first of the “Pirates” movies that is in 3-D.
