MANILA, Philippines — The Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot remains elusive.
Jose Ferdinand M. Rojas II, PCSO general manager, was informed by OIC-Assistant General Manager for Operations Remeliza Jovita Gabuyo, that today’s Grand Lotto jackpot may reach P248 million, depending on the sales of tickets.
In Monday’s draw – with a total pot of P234,986,407.20 – none of the estimated three million bettors got the winning number-combination of 31-16-54-42-40-08, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said Tuesday.
But 19 bettors correctly guessed five of the six number-combination, netting them P150,000 each as consolation prize, said Roxas, who reiterated appeals for a continuing support to the State charity agency by patronizing the lotto games and other PCSO products.
Rojas said at the rate 6/55 ticket sales are going, P74,600,300 for the Monday draw and P79,755,840.20 last Saturday, the Wednesday bonanza may even reach P250 million.
The bigger the sales, the more funds for the agency's medical programs, health services, and charity works of national character, he said.
As this developed, Rojas said the two departments of the PCSO will soon be housed at the Lung Center of the Philippines (LCP) after a negotiation was held with LCP.
The PCSO official said LCP “will provide adequate space” for the Charity Clinic Department (CCD) and Fund Allocation Department (FAD), which are presently housed at the Quezon City capitol building.
He said the PCSO-LCP partnership, planned for June this year, is for indigent patients and their representatives' convenience as they seek dental, medical, and financial help from PCSO.
