source: mb.com.phMANILA, Philippines – Former “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Clash 2010” housemate Eslove Briones’ father, Conrado Briones, was shot dead on May 4 in San Pablo, Laguna.
According to witness accounts published in an article on abs-cbnnews.com on Thursday, the elder Briones was shot by unidentified men in motorcycles who wore helmets.
“Sabi ko, ‘Huwag po, huwag pong [papatayin].’ Hindi ko namukhaan [kasi] naka-helmet,” abs-cbnnews.com quoted the witness as saying.
Police said that the gunmen used a .45 caliber pistol in the shooting and that a total of six gunshot wounds were found on his body. They also believe that Conrado was killed by professional hitmen.
More, authorities are looking into two possibilities that may have triggered the shooting. The first is that it may have something to do with Conrado filing a case against a man said to have harassed his son Eslove; the second, an “illegal drug angle” after being “reportedly last seen talking to a female drug pusher before he was killed.”
Conrado’s sister, former actress Azenith, said his brother had no enemies and described him as “napakabait.”
19-year old Eslove, a housemate at last year’s "PBB Teen Clash," was given forced eviction after raising a knife against fellow housemate Tricia Santos in jest. He reportedly stayed in the house for 22 days.
In other news, teen actor and “Good Vibes” star Sam Concepcion met a car accident on his way home from Baguio City on Monday, May 2. According to the Sam Concepcion Facebook fan page, the young singer was in Baguio to perform for the Yes Camp held at the Camp John Hay early that day.
“Yes, we did get into a car accident last night on the way home from baguio. The back of our van was hit by a jeepney. Everyones okay. Nothing to worry about. :),” Concepcion posted on his Twitter account on Tuesday.
This led his followers and friends to express their relief immediately, including TV5 actress Jasmine Curtis and the late AJ Perez’s girlfriend Steph Ayson, who tweeted him, “Good to know you're safe! The handsome angel was guarding you. :)”
Concepcion is a member of the group Gigger Boys, along with AJ Perez, who passed away on April 17 after their vehicle collided with a Partas provincial bus along McArthur Highway in Tarlac.
