China has promulgated the sentence on two of three drug mules who were earlier sentenced to death for bringing in drugs there in 2008.
Philippine consul to China Noel Novicio said they are waiting for Chinese authorities to announce the carrying out of the sentences on Sally Villanueva and Ramon Credo.
"Tapos na ang promulgation pero ang pagpapatibay ng parusa wala pa tayong announcement (The promulgation is finished but there is no announcement on its implementation yet)," Novicio said in an interview on dzBB radio.
In the case of third drug mule Elizabeth Batain, Novicio said a change of schedule allowed Batain to meet her relatives for the last time before the promulgation.
The initial schedule had been for Batain to meet with her relatives after the promulgation.
Novicio said Batain met with her relatives between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m.
"Kay Elizabeth Batain, nagkaroon ng minor change, binigyan sila ng family (ng oras na makipagkita) instead after promulgation before promulgation (In Batain's case there was a minor change. They were allowed to meet before the promulgation instead of after)," he said.
