Actress Angel Locsin feels Angelica Panganiban is right in tweeting that Team Azkal's Phil Younghusband should concentrate on football rather than acting.
“I understand Angelica because she’s a big fan of football, ‘yun ang pagkakaalam ko,” Angel said on the issue.
She feels the issue has gotten out of hand.
“Siguro parang ang feeling ko ‘yung issue lumaki nang lumaki dahil sa mga tao. Silang dalawa (Angelica and Phil Younghusband), okay naman sila, eh,” said the actress on “Showbiz News Ngayon,” March 8.
Asked to give an update on her newfound friendship with Phil, Angel said nothing's new.
“Ano’ng latest? Parang updated naman kayo lagi, eh. Mas updated pa nga kayo kaysa sa akin Ayun, parang gano’n. Kung ano ang nalalaman n’yo gano’n pa rin.”
Meanwhile, stand-up comedian Vice Ganda took it upon himself to explain why he did not show up for a campus event.
“Merong event sa FEU. Parang foundation ng FEU tapos meron silang pa-concert. Ang magpe-perform si Kean (Cipriano). Ako, hindi naman nila ako in-invite tapos umulan. Hindi natuloy ‘yung event so ni-reschedule nila,” Vice shared in the same “SNN” episode.
The problem was, “‘yung mga taong nakakita sa akin doon, ang akala part ako ng event. Noong natuloy na in-expect nila ako dumating na akala nila nandodoon talaga ako. Eh, hindi naman ako talaga bahagi ng programang ‘yon.”
Initially, Vice took to Twitter to explain that he wasn’t part of the said
program.
“I was not invited to grace the FEU event tonight. Ewan ko kung sino ang nanloko ng mga estudyante at nagkalat na dadating ako. Di ko nga alam na may concert so pano ko pupunta. I felt bad dahil may mga umasa,” read his tweet last week.
His follow-up tweet was concerned about the supposed reason he couldn’t show up that night.
“Can anyone pls tweet me kung sino ang organizer ng FEU concert kanina at kung ano ang name nung host na nagsabi "daw" na kaya hindi ako nakapunta ay dahil malakas ang ulan. Please!!!!”
The comedian felt sorry for those who waited for him at the concert.
“Na-frustrate lang ako para doon sa ibang nag-antay kasi ang daming nagti-tweet sa akin na 'inaabangan ka namin.' Sinabi pa daw noong host na, 'hindi po makakarating si Vice kasi umuulan.' Eh, hindi naman talaga ‘yung ulan ang dahilan. Hindi talaga ako makakarating kasi hindi naman ako bahagi noong programa.”
He explained that he already received an apology from the organizer of the event.
“Nag-tweet sa akin ‘yong organizer na nag-a-apologize ‘yung presidente yata... basta isa siya doon sa organizers na nag-a-apologize. Wala naman daw sila sinabi... hindi naman sila nagpo-promote na kasama ako doon sa event pero may mga umasa pa rin.”
Vice feels relieved about the issue, which he says he will “charge to experience.”
“Kesa naman makipag-away, ‘di ba? Okay na ‘yon. Sabi ko sa susunod na lang na may event sa FEU kung kakayanin ko susuporta pa rin ako.”
