MANILA, Philippines - Former doctor-turned-entrepreneur Hayden Kho, Jr. denied speculations that he is set to exchange vows with long-time girlfriend Dr. Vicki Belo by end of the year.
“Akala ko ba in-invite niyo ko as host? Bakit niyo ko ilalagay sa hot seat?” said Hayden, who was apparently caught off guard by the wedding question thrown at him during the Feb. 20 episode of "Paparazzi," where he sat in again as guest co-host.
Rumors of the couple’s forthcoming wedding arose after Dutch model Yolanda Hadid, who is betrothed to award-winning composer David Foster, seemingly "slipped" about an impending Belo-Kho nuptial in her interview with ABS-CBN News recently.
“I’m getting married 11-11-11. They're getting married on 12," declared Yolanda before quickly adding, "I didn't say anything!”
Yolanda explained that what she meant was that she’s getting married on Nov. 11 “and they (Vicki and Hayden) will be there in the wedding.”
Hayden said Yolanda was just joking.
“Hindi, hindi [pa kami ikakasal]. Nagbibiro lang naman si [Yolanda]… wala pa...” he said on "Paparazzi."
When co-host Ruffa Gutierrez asked Hayden again if he and Vicki are tying the knot soon, Hayden simply chanted and looked at the ceiling, smiling.
The controversial personality nevertheless said that he wants to keep his personal life away from the spotlight for now. But if the right time arrives, he said he and Vicki will let people know if they are finally settling down.
“'Pag may mga ginagawa kaming desisyon na private, parang na-realize namin na we’re learning from the past experiences sa konting time na nasa showbiz ako na kung gusto mong i-enjoy ‘yung isang experience, mas maganda muna ‘yung... kami-kami na lang muna. If it’s time, if it’s necessary to let them know, then we will let them know. Pero of course dun sa mga close friends namin sasabihin naman namin,” said Hayden.
Curiously, when his close friend Mo Twister asked him what kind of engagement ring he will give Vicki, Hayden blushed, saying, “Binubuking mo 'ko, ha.”
Prodded by the hosts about his plans of popping the wedding question soon, Hayden said: “Wala, wala, wala. Hindi muna ako magsasalita. Akin na lang muna ‘yung mga ganyang bagay."
Hayden, meanwhile, did not balk at expressing how much he loves Vicki, saying “from the bottom of [his] heart” that he wishes she would be the last woman in his life.
“Parang hindi ko na ma-imagine na makapag-start pa uli ako ng bagong relationship with anybody because there’s none like Vicki. Isa na kong timang 'pag ginawa ko pa ulit [na saktan siya],” he declared.
Vicki and Hayden’s relationship suffered blows in the past, the biggest of which may well be Hayden’s much-publicized involvement in a sex video scandal. The two eventually rekindled their romance, which began with their renewed friendship during Hayden's trial.
